Refuse to Be Discouraged

I refuse to be discouraged, to be sad, or to cry,
I refuse to be downhearted, and here’s the reason why….

I have God who is Almighty, who is sovereign and supreme (El Shaddai, Genesis 17:1)
I have Jesus who loves me and I am on HIS team, HE is my shepherd (Jehovah Rohi, Psalm 23:1)
I have Jesus who is all wise and powerful (El Elyon, Genesis 14:19-20)
Although everything is changeable, my God remains the same (Alpha and Omega, Revelation 1:8)
My God knows all that’s happening, from beginning to the end (Elohim, Genesis 1;1)
I found comfort in the presence of the Holy Spirit (Jehovah Shalom, Judges 6:24)
Jesus is my dearest friend ..when sadness bring me down low (Jehovah Nissi, Exodus 17:15-16)
Jesus is my physician…when sickness comes (Jehovah Rophe, Exodus 15:26)

I call upon my mighty God,
Into HIS arms I go
When circumstances threaten to rob me from my peace,
HE draws me close unto HIS arms, where all my anxiety cease
When my heart melts within me, and weakness takes control,
HE gathers me unto HIS arms, HE soothes my heart and soul

The great I AM is with me,
My life is in HIS hands, the “son of the Lord” is my hope,
It is in HIS strength I stand
I refused to be defeated, my eyes are on my God,
HE has promised to be with me,
To Heaven’s throne above, my eyes are fixed on,
My prayers have reached the heart of God,
I am resting in HIS love, I give God thanks in everything,
My eyes are on HIS face, the battle is HIS,
The victory is mine, HE is helping me win the race

I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me (Philippians 4: 13)
Cast your anxiety on Him, for HE cares for you (1 Peter 5: 7)
But God said to me (Paul), “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12: 9)
